Our Background
Guidelines for households visiting the Stettler & District Food Bank
-
We provide food, at no cost, to those needing help regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, income source, age, or mental or physical ability.
-
We are a 100% volunteer run organization. Please keep this in mind as we are all trying to do our best!
-
We respect the privacy of those served and maintain the confidentiality of personal information.
-
Harassment or abuse of any kind to our volunteers, or those visiting the Food Bank will not be tolerated at our Food Bank
-
We serve the Town of Stettler and surrounding area, if you live in a neighboring community that has a food bank we encourage you to access this Food Bank.
-
Households can visit the Food Bank once a calendar month. Households with children 18 years and under can visit twice a calendar month.
-
Households are served on a first come first served basis, but everyone arriving before closing will be served.
-
A form of ID is required for all household members for 1st time visitors to the Food Bank.
-
First time visitors will be asked for general information, so we can create a profile. This information is only used for future visits and for statistic purposes. No personal information is shared.
-
You can access bread and help yourself items throughout the month, regardless of whether you have received a hamper that month. We ask that you only come down after all households getting hampers are served first (regardless of when you show up), this is so the households receiving hampers have the first selection.
